4 in 1 Hot Water Taps with Water Softener
Comments (42)Hi Aideen, I went for a Franke 4-1 tap last March, and this March had a Kinetico water softener put in, had the softened water line attached to the ‘normal’ hot and cold and kept original hard water for the filtered cold/boiling side of the tap. All good. With the water softener you can literally feel the difference immediately, at first when washing my hands I almost felt like I had to keep rinsing as it felt so creamy! Huge difference to the limescale, the shower head which usually would get clogged up is completely clear, no more pinging off the limescale from the rubber bits!! Definitely makes a difference to cleaning the bath, sink etc, very glad we had it done. Shampoo lathers up without using much, and skin feels softer. Was £1600, so it’s not cheap but I don’t regret it one bit....See MoreAre Quooker Tap Alternatives Worth It?
Comments (7)I have an old Quooker and it’s still working perfectly over 12 years later! However - my brother had a Qettle fitted in his kitchen a couple of years ago and it’s great! There are several types of hot taps available, but many work in different ways and are different temperatures (as Stephen mentions, the insinkerator is cooler), but the Qettle works in a very similar way to the Quooker and is definitely a boiling tap. If I was starting a fresh, I’m not sure I could justify the cost of the Quooker over the Qettle!...See MoreTeam boiling hot water tap or kettle?
Comments (9)I'm not a fan of things out on worktops. I like clear sight lines. But a kettle is a must for me. I can't imagine a life without saying 'put the kettle on'. We are in the middle of a kitchen extension and will be having a normal tap and have sited a socket where we want our kettle....just shop around for a nice design and spend the saved money on a new set of teacups....See MorePatinated brass Quooker tap - which knobs and handles?
Comments (17)You may be overthinking it. The thing to consider with black is that it tends to be the 'boss' in the room if placed next to anything very pale, especially white. This means that (for example) a black fridge on a white wall would be the first thing you would see. This is why huge black TV's on a white wall are a terrible eyesore because they dominate a space. Consider testing 'Stirabout', it's a bit deeper and warmer than Skimmning Stone....See MoreDaisy England
