Help hanging pendant light with multiple bulbs from pitched roof

Hi,

We are in the latter stages of a house project and want to hang the light in the photo but it needs to attach to the underside of a pitched roof. How can this be achieved? I don’t believe the manufacture has an adapter, so looking for suggestions please! The top is 50cm in diameter.

Hi. There are a couple of factors to consider such as how deep your peninsula is and the ceiling height available. If you have a double depth peninsula (e.g. 1200-1300d) then the fitting can sit a little lower over the worktop area without risk of hitting your head on it, I would then position the pendant approx 700mm from worktop height to underside of pendant. If however you have a narrower worktop, I would raise the fitting by 200mm to 900mm from top of worktop. Ceiling height, the typical ceiling height in the UK is 2.4m (but if you live in a town house you could have ceilings of 4m or a beamed cottage, scraping 2m if lucky) base on the above information you will have approx 800mm between underside of pendant and ceiling (based on the wider peninsula dims). I would look for a fitting approx 400-500dia and 200-250mm high. this allows for 550-600mm gap between top of fitting and ceiling. Edited: Just seen your post above that your ceiling is 9ft (2.74m) therefore you could look for a fitting that is even upto 400mm high and will still read well within the space If you would like any help sourcing a fitting meeting these dimension, please contact me directly. If you wanted a statement light that was a bit "out there" then check out the melt pendant light by Tom Dixon. They do a mini melt too. They are pricey but they are are absolutely gorgeous when you see them lit at night - I'm so in love with them and am seriously craving one for my dining room. They have a mirror finish when switched off and then turn translucent when on and come in gold, silver or copper.

Most of those work together as the brass element is repeated. What flooring are you having in the kitchen (which looks great) as that could really add warmth? Ignore the first pic as that is £xxxxx but I thought the trumpet could be fun for the piano room although DH may hate it! The brass doesn’t match on this particular wall light but something like this would go and should be easy to find. I love the pearl drop light so thought I’d show it to you in case you like it. I really like the pendant in your first pic so have shown this one too, it’s reminiscent of 1930s Parisian jazz clubs. I assume the eichholtz one is actually chrome (as most tend to be!), do you want a similar brass version?

I would agree with ED but do you have the space behind the ceiling for downlights? If not, I wouldn't choose a colour for pendants, go for something in glass so they don't visually fill the space. Or maybe consider track lighting, that would probably work quite well? The kitchen is looking good btw
