Thank you. The paint colour is Kigali by the Paint & Paper Library. It's a gorgeous colour.

Yes you can. To be honest, I slap the zinsser on and then two coats of really good undercoat and sand that. I always use Rustins undercoat which is water based and then if possible go over with oil based top coat. Others may have other recommendations for which undercoat. I find the people at Brewers are generally really helpful as they are constantly dealing with trade customers. I bought this tool on a recommendation and it is really useful for defluffing the edges of painted mdf. My house was full of conker brown varnish and I painted over veluxes with zinsser and it really works. It stinks (contains meths) and it with ruin the brushes but it's good stuff.

Thanks all for your help, we haven't got underfloor heating and I have two very messy boys especially with water so I think engineered wood is out and so are real tiles as they would be so cold. Its a north facing room so I'm very aware I need to warm the look of the room up as the grey and the white walls are looking very stark now. Karndean, amtico and poyflor are the companies i'll look at then. Has anyone used polyflor? They seem much cheaper than the other two companies? And oneplan would grey flooring look weird against the grey wood Worktop? Bit too matchy? I'd like to go a bit more modern Scandi kitchen. Unfortunately my husband likes country style hence the kitchen handles and look we chose. But now I want to warm it up a bit and give it a more Scandi look?! Thanks for your help

We have satin polished nickel handles on our drawers...I believe there is about 5cm each side so they are quite long. I'll try and upload a picture when I get home. I think it looks nicest with long handles plus the more handle there is the easier the drawer is to open imo!

Hi Joanne, Questions to ask yourself are Would you like the room to be : - brighter or darker - cosy or fresh - feel larger or smaller - feel warmer or cooler - feel cheery, neutral or moody Also which way is the room orientated north? What are the other colours that are in the rest of the house? If these colours are all cohesive the spaces will link well and the house will feel larger. Interior Designers can offer a colour consultation - this is brief example of some of the factors that should be considered but the full service is best in person as the designer can get the feel for the space and samples can be viewed in the correct light which makes all the difference.
