kitchen unit handles - or not??
Comments (4)Hi, I've had handles and I now have handleless and I most certainly do prefer the units without handles, not only is it one less thing to clean but you can wipe down in a single motion without having to get around the handle. If you would like handles, I'd look at the slim (profile??) handles which are fitted at the top of cabinets. I think these are timeless designs. With regards to splashback, I'm not a fan of tiling, and I think it does date a kitchen but that is down to you. I'd prefer either a glass splashback, if it's a wood effect/marbled work top, using the same effect as splashback or upstand and paint. which you select depends on the finish you would like to achieve. Comments (8)Me too, especially when you look at the second photo, which I think is in the back alcove of your kitchen, because that's where you really see the difference between the warmth of the cashmere vs. the cool harshness of the light grey. (By the way, I've been following your various threads but never commented before - I think your kitchen will be fabulous as you are making great, considered choices). Comments (31)Hi, your kitchen looks beautiful! came across threads as we too are currently debating diy kitchens cashmere or light grey, we have ordered cashmere and started to have doubts that it would be too dark. Though looking at yours I'm reassured again! I just wondered what wood worktop/and poss stain you have chosen? We looked at a solid wood oak but i thought it looked a bit yellowy. (fab choice on floor too)...See MoreKitchen unit handles advice please
Comments (16)I’m also not keen on copper - the trend has already aged. I’d go for something timeless like an aged brass - i”d also take inspiration from quality kitchen companies like Devol just to see what looks good! There’s loads of good places online to buy ironmongery - one has been mentioned above, but also check out Willow and Stone and also Jim Lawrence (both easy to google!)....See MoreJuicy11
