Kitchen bi-fold dilemma

pc res
last month

We were planning on taking out two sets of French doors in what will be our new kitchen, and widening the openings to make a wide set of bi-folds. However, the ceiling is quite low (2170mm) and the structural engineer has told us there is not enough room between the top of the door and the ceiling to fit in a beam big enough for the opening, and so we will have to have a supporting post along the wall. I wanted bi-folds as I would like as much light as possible, also the view is lovely but it feels like it is blocked by the wall between the doors at the moment. My husband has mocked up a few options (1 is what is there currently). What do you think is my best option?
