Matte Cupboard help

Hi all, I'm sure this has been asked 100 times - can anyone recommend a good cleaner for navy blue matte kitchen cupboards please? I've seen things from glass cleaners to Method to magic erasers.

What is the best.

Your help and advice would be amazing!

Hello Lauren, With plush carpeting and a sheen such as yours. The important thing is to look at how the pile works.. With some luxurious looking carpeting there is a tendency for footprints.. When the pile naturally parts underfoot or any movement.. It can show.. The key thing is to decide if this works for you.. I have had clients for whom despite the feel and luxurious look - the overall way this interacts with what it comes into contact with ultimately didn't work for them.. Consider how you feel about the visual element of the carpet vs how it feels etc.. If you are happy with it then great but don't be put off insisting on a replacement if this is really what you want.. Wool carpeting and hand weaves behave in a different way and so, you must have what you'll ultimately enjoy the most.. : ))

No! Don’t use pink stuff paste or a magic eraser! Pink stuff spray is fine but not the paste. We have spare doors at work and have done tests on them. You should not use a product that is harsh such as paste because in time it will take the surface of the door off. If however your doors are so bad that they are ready for replacing you have nothing to loose. I’m now monitoring the removal of marks with baby wipes. For some strange reason they seem to shift a multitude of sins.

I would paint too, doesn’t have to be white though, depends on the style of the rest of your home. And door doesn’t have to be same as rest of woodwork. I’ve painted my pine doors and woodwork dark in my current house and in my last house I painted all the doors off black but kept all the woodwork white since all the walls were white there.

Hi, We recently bought our first house, a 3 bed terraced victorian. We are redoing(no structural changes, just remove wallpaper, painting, flooring, bathroom) the whole house. We are now confused with what wall colours to go with. So far we have selected the below. 1) Ground floor laminate flooring - Farmhouse grey 2) Stairs & Landing Area - Ultimate Grey 3) Bedrooms - Cardinal 4) Cupboards in 2 bed rooms to be white gloss with brown trim at corners. We would really like if someone can help with the choice of wall colours. We initially selected grey(Dulex chic shadow) & a darker shaded grey for featured walls. Can someone help us with providing some ideas if above colours will work for living area(s), hallway? Any other suggestions for bedrooms with above carpet & cupboards. Can provide layouts if required. Thanks

From recollection there were many suggestions. Whether they work is another matter. I have matt finish and to be honest they’re a bit of a pain. You can’t see the marks until the light catches them and then it’s a grrrrr issue. Gloss are far easier to keep clean but of course they show the marks.
