Any ideas how to include a vestibule here?

Hi. I really don't want a front porch as I'd like to keep front of house plain. Any ideas how I could fit a vestibule in? I also wouldn't mind a smaller dining room and bigger sitting room so if fitting in a vestibule meant changing either of these I'm OK with that!!

Hi Alysha, If you want to go for a contemporary look how about painting the room an off-white and then decorating it with colour. This colour can be as bold as you like... Simple colours for the surroundings of the room and then liven it up by using the accessories to colour it. Here's some photos of our products to give you an idea on some colour schemes... Ah thank you. I used dye from Dye Brick - https://www.dyebrick.com/ - for both the bricks and the mortar. They were super quick to deliver. My top tip would to be more patient than I was!! I should have spent more time finding which colour was best... and then sticking to it rather than changing my mind :) After a bit of testing I used a 50:50 mix of two of the colours available. And what I should have done is applied the soot wash mix (a separate product) afterwards... what I did do was mix them all together hence I just got a browner mix rather than the orange I wanted. Sometimes I can be a real idiot!! But I have a little dye left and having looked at bricks around the green door pic that Carolina has attached I may try and do a few more orange and some pure soot ones to get a bit more variety in colour rather than it being so uniform. Porch cost me about £80 to dye. Could possibly be done cheaper if you didnt need so many brick colours (Red, orange and soot) and didnt need to do the mortar too.

Thank you again, ladies and E D! E D, we are on the Wye river on the border between England and Wales. We managed to track some of the people who lived here over centuries based on the unique name of the cottage (which I am not going to mention here). One was a curate who wrote a few poems about the place, then a local doctor, then a vicar (although the nearest church is about 1 mile away) - that covers the 19th century. Back to house, a pale cream was on my list of colours, Sonia, together with some light grey. Someone thought a dark orange, or pale brick red would look good, but I’m not that bold. The main impact will be on the other side of the house which is all rendered. PS we managed to get rid of the hot tub, I can’t tell you how happy that makes me, even though we had to take down part of the garden wall to get it out.

Personally I would be more worried that there is no wall near the cooking area for your fridge.

Oh wow Jonathan...that's a really good layout...I suppose my concern here is that the playroom is out of sight from kitchen and I did want a formal dining room but I am going to sit and think about this option though. Thank you so much...I cant believe what you did with the space!
