Help with teeny, tiny wet room

I have a very small wet room, that I want to try and make a little more appealing on very limited resources all ideas welcome. The room is 1.9m by 1.6m with a sloping roof!

Maybe try locating a small cupboard to fit under the sink, to offer storage and cover the pipe work.

I agree with kazzh to fit a cupboard or vanity under the sink to hind all the pipework. You can get sinks set in a vanity unit, if budget allows. It’s a shame the sloping wall has been tiled which just doesn’t look right. I would remove those top tiles, plaster it then paint it navy. There is a cost to this but it will make such a difference. So you would have white tiles topped by a navy wall above. You can then add white or navy fluffy towels. Something like this which has the sink/vanity combo.

I wouldn't necessarily dismiss the idea of a wet room. I lived in a house with just a shower for over 10 years and had two babies while I was there - we worked it out. However I do appreciate it may make your house less desirable if you are planning on selling in the future. (although I will add when we sold ours 2 years ago the lack of a bath was not an issue). It sounds like you want to do some of the work yourself so perhaps get a plumber in and discuss what work you wish them to do and what you can tackle yourself. Same idea with the electrics. Agree with others to double check the dimensions of the bath you've found - most on-line retailers allow you to download the technical drawings of things like baths. Have you considered a sliding door? It may make the space more accessible. We've just put electric under floor heating in our wet room - with ours it's just designed to warm the floor to help dry it after use - rather than heat the room. We have a towel rail on the wall as well as the UFH.

I absolutely think you can achieve smart, I think a lot of it has to do with the textures. If you go for some of the large, plain, matt tiles available now it adds to sleekness. You don't necessarily have to go dark, something in a plain light grey, pale cream etc. You can add a touch of dark with accessories such as towels or the vanity unit, or preferably both. Maybe something like these large grey tiles :- coupled with a dark grey vanity and white bowlYou can stick to monotone accessories or with this combo you can add pretty much any accessory colour, turquoise, mustard, raspberry, blues, greens etc

Hi You need to check re soil pipe - my opinion is that it is best to keep the WC as close to the soil pipe as possible to avoid unnecessary problems.
