1500mm wide x 650mm height bathroom mirror
Comments (5)Many thanks Dale Loth Architects. Any idea who sells reputable demister pads and the size we should get? Quite a few sell them on line but keen to get a good one. Sorry dumb question but how do I get foil backing onto the mirror back? Is this something a glass/mirror cutter provides/can do? And how would you suggest we attach to glass tiles. I understand there needs to be space between the tiles and the mirror. Would you suggest a frame say 1000mm x500mm with demister pad inside? That's what we were thinking. Again any suggestions from any Professionals much appreciated....See More3 bed + bathroom downstairs or 2 bed + bathroom upstairs?
Comments (22)Front hallway- I say save your money leave it up. Cost of removal is minor but you will likely have to move radiators and electrics and make good plasterwork and coving- I say protect another £1500 profit. Present the larger back reception as a living room and present the front reception as the dining room. Given that the bathroom is likely to go upstairs make the downstairs bathroom into a room to access the garden- I would present the kitchen as a kitchen/breakfast room with doors to see the garden as being able to see from the front door to the back garden should pay dividend....See MoreRenovation- Master bedroom and bathroom, ideas please!
Comments (17)I would say, it's do'able, but does it work? In my opinion no. The width of the room is 3.5m. A kingsize bed is roughly 1.75m wide. That will leave you with 87cm walk space either side of the bed if you put up a false wall. Not only does it conflict with the window position because you need the depth for the wardrobe plus around 1m crouch space at the rear of the wall, plus the depth of the wall, but it means that you can't have bedside tables either, because it's not wide enough. If you wanted to add bedside tables........and my own personal view is that it looks funny without them..........then you need 1.75 for the bed, plus 1m ( for two cabinets ), that's 2.75m, that only leaves you with 37cm to walk either side of the wall to get to either the bathroom or the wardrobes. The wall could only be the same width as the bed and I just think it looks weird. If you look at the length of the room and how it will be reduced, I also think it affects that too much also. The wardrobes depth will be on average 60mc, plus 10cm for the wall and 1 metre of crouch space.........total 1.75 plus the length of the bed the other side of the wall, 200-220cm - Total could be 3.95m leaving 55-75cm at the foot of the bed to walk. You could argue that the 75cm is plenty, that's true enough, but do you want to open the door and be met with the foor of the bed right in front of you? I guessed the size of the bathroom for the interim until you measure. I'd go for something like Karen at OnePlan has suggested and don't change the bedroom, or if you want to have the shower and the bath, something like this:-I put in a wall between the walk in shower and the vanity. Put in a double vanity with two sinks, a free standing bath and the toilet. I think any more and you're trying to pack too much in and making things look crowded....See MorePepping up bathroom - under sink cabinet, wood & paint/paper ideas pls
Comments (10)Thanks all. 1. A carpenter/fitter is coming around on Sat for the kitchen - I'll ask him for a quote for this too. In the meantime, I've been googling/thinking, and saw this from IKEA: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/washstands-taps/wash-stands/fullen-wash-basin-cabinet-white-art-70189041/ (& pale green countertop: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/washstands-taps/wash-stands/viskan-countertop-pale-green-art-70354804) I just need to remove a slice of the base at the rear for it to be level with the top of the basin. Hope that doesn't look weird. 2. Will paint the door frame - satinwood or similar. Easy one, that. :) 3./4. Will look at the navy/teal/dark grey wallpapers and paint. I think a combination of them may look really good. Have requested some samples - just waiting for them to arrive now! Great. Can't wait to get going now....See MoreHU-184145453
