Can't decide between two plans.

Hi there,
It would be great to get some opinions on these two plans for my small garden. 4m at its widest and 9m in length. I have an existing tree that has to stay and I require a small tool shed somewhere. Want to achieve greater space for entertaining. I don't require any lawn any longer. My dog kills the grass.
I've attached a picture of the garden as it is now.
Plus my two plans. And a sketch of one of them..
My only concern is the pergola. I want to create a central room but I am wondering if the sightline from the raised patio off the house will be affected. The raised patio is a ft in height. Pergola will be 9ft above ground I would assume...
Any thoughts or suggestions in improving these plans would be great.
