Awkward dining room layout!

I'm moving into a Victorian terrace soon, and the dining room has a chimney breast but no fireplace, and doors in 3/4 corners (the stairs in one corner, then the living room and kitchen in the other two).


I'm trying to work out how to not leave the table absolutely lost in the middle of the room. Has anyone else dealt with a similar room? Any pictures or ideas would be great!
