So happy you like this! The wall colour is 'Arsenic' by Farrow & Ball - such a gorgeous, vivid shade!

ok so I'm still al little confused but almost decided (mainly cos i can't take this strange indecision anymore!) So 3 tall integrated of/larger fridge & pull out larder units on back wall (in photo) and l shape base units only in Slipper Satin. Worktop in snowy ibiza as it has a taupe tinge to it so works well with Slipper Satin but lighten the room too and wimborne white (or possibly Valspar Fluffy Robe) for the walls and open shelves. I still want my champagne bronze tap and am hoping it will go but it's the only thing I'm not certain on now and the only thing i'm dead set on having! Off to look at Kahrs flooring samples today.

If deep grey really appeals to you then go for it! The beauty of paint is that you can always change your mind, it may be a bit time consuming but it's relatively inexpensive (compared to picking the wrong sofa or kitchen cabinets :0) I have a Pinterest board called 'The dark side' with hundreds of images of interiors that I find incredibly attractive (think Abigail Ahern) but some people would probably think were blacker than the inside of a camel and avoid like the plague :D I currently live in a small Georgian terrace with low ceilings and little natural light so most of them aren't an option (unless you really don't mind bumping into things) but I have painted two walls in my bedroom (which is much larger/higher for some reason) in a deep steel grey and I love it, I only wish I hadn't lost courage and painted the other two in a pale white/grey. Definitely green one. The whole theme of the house is more nature inspired, you have warm wood flooring, and the ceiling lamp, chairs, which would go better with the green you chose. It would also match the painting and the views through the window better. Perfect!

Also depends on the sofa (and other seating) fabric she'll have. And I hope we are talking about floor to ceiling curtains? I've put in a more neutral chair and painted the walls a cream (but obv I don't know whether it resembles the cream walls of your friend's room) Here's a mock up with gold curtains https://www.curtains-2go.co.uk/curtains/23618/lucerna-gilt.htm I don't know this company, so don't know whether it's a nice fabric, but it's the one I used in the 'room'. (I personally wouldn't go for gold curtains though) Another idea could be a dusky pink. https://www.curtains-2go.co.uk/curtains/23327/fine-velvet-pale-rose.htm And I've also put in the neutral curtains I've used in the first mock up, just so you can see the effect of the different colours. But it all depends on the furniture too, not just on the carpet. Anyway, hope it helps.
