Exterior paint colour that goes with Red brick

Hi
I would really appreciate any advice on your recommendations for a colour that goes with my red brick house(it’s not even a nice red brick !)
I’ve attached a photo.I was planning on just painting the buts that are already painted and keeping the brick as they are.Unless you think it would look better painting it all?Just thinking of the maintenance of it though.
Any suggestions much appreciated

I agree with earlier posts that say the door is an individual choice- I think all the choices you have considered sit well with the house. As far as making the front more interesting I would have new stone flags laid in front of the door and have this area a little wider and deeper so it is more imposing. I would cut boarders against the house to soften the hard landscaping and better highlight the front entrance. I think the flatness of the exterior that you have described is because there is no window to the right of the front door and trellis could help with this. I also think your porch light is undersized. Personally I think that when you have better signposted the entrance you won’t feel an additional porch will add anything. In my opinion this house is actually very attractive now, is probably 20 years newer than your estimate and likely only needs a light touch to make a big improvement.

I would recommend a nice soft green. No expert, but I think the good news is you can just paint over the current grey. If you’re up for it I think you should do it before you start planting so you still have all the space to do it. @Sonia has used a lovely green on some of her garden furniture which I think would bring the natural and ‘warm’ character back to your fence. And yes... loads of substantial planting needed. As said, you’re at the right address (this forum, not me...😊) for the best planting advice. 👍

Gorgeous house. As the windows are white, how about a gentle grey like F&B Ammonite, or a pale taupe such as Skimming Stone? A warm white like Winbourne White or Pointing maybe? Of course any masonry paint will do the job, but I do think F&B have the most beautiful shades that really suit period homes.

Thank you to both of you. The colour palatte is really useful. Ive been looking at different materials, mostly natural stone or porcelain cladding. Im also considering a rendered wall. I took a drive round the neighbourhood today to see what I liked the look of.
