What type of tub is that?

Alcove? Drop in? is there tile around the skirt and quarts on top? i' wondering how you have it not between two walls without an apparent partial wall at the end of the tub. Thanks!

It’s a standard Bette fitted bath that we built a frame for and tiled it. Hope that helps you!

You can use side panels or a deck/surround to create what is, in effect, a free standing bath that would work well aesthetically and, optionally, as part of a wetroom-style bathroom. Deep soaking tubs are especially effective for such projects; they have smaller footprint, which affords more room in the shower area, but their greater depth makes them exceptionally comfortable.

I don’t think I could sit in it during the hot day sun anyway unless I was using it as a cooling dip tub! Ha ha. I guess with an inflatable, we could try it in different areas at different times of the year and see what works for us. 👌 If we love it then we might get a better one or build decking around it so it looks nicer. Definitely appears to me more for winter use when it’s cold out. Reminds me of being on the spa roof top hot pool in Bath one October when it was snowing outside and it was fab!

hot tub on decking or paving?

Looking for advice on what material to sit a hot tub on? We have an as yet ‘unlandscaped’ area of the garden adjacent to the garage wall. Photo attached. Have recently had the garage wall rendered in white and now has 3 wall lights and power outlet so seems a good location for the hot tub. The ground is slightly higher next to garage as is on a slope running down to the patio where the photo is taken from which is next to the house. Was thinking possibly composite decking to mix up the materials as we have 2 patio areas already. One in silver sandstone and one in grey slate. Is either a better option for weight of a hot tub? Thanks
