Can this windowsill be saved?

I’m currently preparing the windows to have shutters fitted and I need some advice on the window sill as it is old and scratched. Can the gaps in the corners be filled or would I need to replace the whole windowsill? If it can be filled what would I need to use? Thanks!

You could use wood filler, let it dry then sand it. It may not be a perfect match though, so if you are up to painting the sill the same colour as your shutters, then it would give a cleaner finish.

We had tiles like this in our porch which were also laid on concrete. We managed to chisel them out and once we started some of them loosened on their own. Any residual concrete left on the tiles was removed with a bench grinder. This was very time consuming and our builder told us to just replace the floor but we were determined to keep the original tiles and it really is worth the time and patience. Unfortunately we 'lost' a whole bag of the tiles between lifting them and relaying them (subsequently found them in the shed!!) so our pattern was slightly reduced but I still love them. What a terrible question to have to consider- How could you ever choose??? Many say family photos - but you know what - if I lost mine it wouldn't matter too much because I can remember my life in pictures - I was there. We take so many photos on our phone and never look at them we need to try to think back more and remember. My cat? Well, he's not a possession - he chooses to live with us and we are his servants! I suppose it would have to be my first guitar I used professionally - a 1950/early 60s (?) Hofner Congress. Here - have a laugh, this is me in about 1978: The guitar lasted better than I did !

You have plastic skirt and arch in caravans. Perhaps they used this originally to save painting as it's supplied in a finished state (unless you don't want white). I'd replace it using either timber of MDF. Removing a window sill shouldn't create much mess. Perhaps some adjoining plaster will come off with it but that can be patched up.

Thanks, I think I will paint it to match the shutters as it’s pretty damaged and will need sanding anyway
