Bathroom with sloping ceiling help

I am hoping someone can help us with a bathroom design. We have been trying to design a bathroom for months and just cannot find a layout that we like or that works given the very difficult ceiling slope.
This is the main family bathroom and serves two bedrooms.
1 - dream would be a separate bath and shower. We have a combination today but don’t like that and never use the bath because of it.
2 - If only one can fit, then we would chose a shower, as the other shower in the house is in a separate area in a guest room and not easily accessible from this area.
3 - walls and ceiling are fixed and cannot change, as it is a listed building and we have already tried and have been rejected.
4 - the two main problems are that the bathroom is modest in size and on top has a significant slope to the ceiling, making a huge portion of the room unusable for standing.

Today the end piece under the lowest beam is empty and seems a waste of space.

Any ideas within these restrictions will be appreciated. I have attached rough floor plan and side view to better explain the problem.

How about bath along the right wall at the lowest ceiling point. Move the WC to the left a little . Hand basin in front of it. Probably needs to be a shallow basin. And shower in front of door.

It used to be a bathroom and separate toilet (as the second plan which is the house next door and has the original layout) and I want to put it back to how it was. It is not going to be a bedroom. I cannot put in a toilet downstairs as there is not room. There is a cupboard but it is the only storage in the house so I cannot get rid of it and it opens into the reception room anyway.

I have two shower rooms under a sloping roof. Provided there is enough height overall, it works very well. Here are 3 shots of the en-suite. It is 1200mm wide (standard shower tray size). The 'glass' is 8mm acrylic, which is very cheap when compared to glass, though the fittings are NOT cheap. I have recently had a revamp, keeping the layout, and used continuous hinge, which is great. The only change was to move the radiator to a tall thin one inside the door beside the basin, because there really was not enough space to sit on the toilet without burning your bum!

Hi J - thank you. We keep coming back to the bath position you have mentioned, but we are worried about getting in and out, whether the head height is enough? We can put mood lighting so it doesn’t feel oppressive, but just worried it will be impractical for using.
I’ve looked but can find anything with recommended heights.

To me the tiled wall is about 800 -900mm high. It looks like it's in line with the sink. The bath is going to be around 600mm high. So it looks quite like your floorplan. I'm going to guess the false wall front edge finishes about where it's 1200mm tall on the ceiling. You have a beam around there though, how big is it?

Bath under the eaves can work - we have one in the ensuite and provided you remember to step forwards and up/out its fine - makes no odds once your in it of course.

Carefully select the height of the tub though or it may feel claustrophobic.

I'd look into getting the WC on the opposite wall. So it would be from left: shower, WC then bath. If the WC stays in the current wall it might be too tight to get past the shower and loo.
I'd expect the bath + false wall will be at least 1000mm of floor space. That leaves you with about 800mm for the shower and WC both.

Would this work? So one side of the bath has height to get in and out?

On the other hand, if your just going to go with just a shower. I think I'd build out the lower roof area, pop the WC backing onto the false wall. And a basin next to it. Larger shower in the same place as suggested before.

Ellie - that is something we hadn’t thought of. We did try the bath on opposite angle but the toilet wasn’t left with much room. This one looks really good. Thank you!

Example eaves layout ensuite - I'll not take any credit +ve or -ve for this room, it came with the house! but FWIW it works and hasn't made it to the top of the refurb list as yet!

Wall furthest side is about 140cm high, ceiling nearside of the bath 180cm high

Tub ~52cm high, 70cm wide.

Shower in the bath - forget it, soak - sure no problem.
