Design ideas for low ceilings & small spaces for a sumptuous feel

Hi,

I’m moving my clinic from my home to a new, small converted stable / barn space. I really need advice and ideas on how to paint and furnish so it feels sumptuous and luxurious, cosy/inviting and ultimately tranquil. Im thinking dark colours might be better?!

The room is 4.2m x 2.97m but The ceiling is low at 1.9m.

I mainly work with low lighting/candle light.

All ideas greatfully received.
