Can you remember the colour of your first bedroom?
Comments (15)When I first allowed to decorate my room (moving on from the wallpaper covered in woodland animals of my infant bedroom) I chose bright orange walls with green & yellow bedding & curtains, which I loved at the time but in hindsight it was awful. I was luckily able to change it a few years later to a restful pale pink & cream....See MoreColour scheme for north facing bedroom?
Comments (7)Hi, Grey may just add to the gloominess and look a tad cold for a bedroom. However If you are pushing towards a grey I'd look at some greige colours or warm greys such as skimming stone, Egyptian cotton, just walnut, etc and use warm bulbs to give a more warmer feeling to the room. The greife colours, albeit with a grey colour, appears slightly warmer with the combined beige tones and warmer greys, well it does what it says, shows up to be more inviting and welcoming. I would recommend using testers, preferably on different walls at various points during the day (or repeated coats on paper which can be moved around) when it's quite gloomy because thats the common weather and see what looks good. Alternatively, I'd look at a green colour as this appears to be warmer or consider painting a neutral and accessorise with warm rich colours such as reds or purples or oranges to add warmth to a cold room. Good Luck!...See MoreKids bedroom window ideas
Comments (7)Hi Tia, I think our new Glow in the Dark fabric could have a fun middle ground appeal to both girls while the neutral grey background will work well with the colour scheme. Our roller blinds are unique as you can actually swap the fabric of the blinds after they are installed without remeasuring or ever removing the system from the window, by simply hooking off one fabric and hooking on another. So you can easily update your look as their tastes grow and change. Find out more about our Fabric Changing Roller Blinds here. Or you could pair the fabric with a BlocOut™ Blind for an unmatched level of darkness in the room to ensure the girls get a great night's sleep, even on these brighter morning. Feel free to give us a call on 0800 107 5535 if you have any questions at all. Best of luck, Kiera...See MoreToddler's Bedroom Paint Advice
Comments (6)Hi @Nixxy H, Our advice would be to keep walls in rather soft/pale colours and to have a feature wall. Be carefull with colours though as those influence our moods and feelings. Check our website for little help on paint colours. There are plenty of great wallpapers for kids' rooms too, but you could have a magnetic or blackboard wall instead, or two in one. You could use the wall to stick his art onto, but also to draw with chalk. Be creative for a good start. Hope you find it helpful. Kind Regards, Paintforme...See MoreNathalie S
