Outbuilding refurb advice please.

Hey guys hope you can help me. My house is a 1910 property and I am in the process of refurbing the inside of these old outbuildings. I made a mistake installing Upvc windows to match the house (what was I thinking?!) so my quandary is, what can I do (on a budget) to the outside of them? I thought sanding and painting the doors, woodwork and Upvc window dark grey, but would that look naff? I keep making expensive mistakes, please help.
