Help with a living room layout

We’re struggling to work out how to
arrange this living room with a large window immediately opposite the entrance door. The only function if this room will be to watch tv or have very rare guests over so there’s no need for other uses such as dining.
We were thinking about having a corner sofa on the left hand side with the TV opposite but will it feel awkward having guests sat so closely together? Plus that would leave a lot of wasted space in the middle of the room.
