I would like to extent my house with a double storey

I would like to make a double storey which will stand separate from the main house but have the staircase joining the two building from the main house into the double storey

you will need to apply for planning to extend you house. this process can be stressful and long, depending on the works being done, the area, and who the extension may impact.

Companies like ours provide a full design and build service, which includes project managing all this, as it can be over whelming.

The process for an extension when applying for planning will include getting architectural drawings, structural engineer drawings and reports, assessing the existing area and providing information on the materials that will be used.

hello, it depends on how much of it you want to change, we've all been there, decorated a room or something, then changed our minds a year later, so I'm of the view that basic colours work the best...I've done it with many gardens keep the colours basic then add on..you could do as little as spend £50 to transform your garden. If your house was mine and I had an unlimited budget I'd concrete and paint the wall white, put a palm where the shrub is in a white square planter, and repaint the woodwork, I do like the idea of grey but it would depend on if you are keeping it all the same colour. I don't agree with the Tudor comments, your house is quite new, why would you want it to look old..but of course we all have different tastes... Personally I love buildings painted white, fresh looking concrete with tropicals in the garden, I have a 6 foot Australian tree fern and bananas in my garden, there's nothing like sitting out there in the summer, I love it...

Having had a think about this for a couple of hours I would say this:- This is probably possible for around £25k depending on finish and building requirements- This is transposed on to the floor below, as you see it's not gone in to the front area and gives you 3 beds, but no upstairs bathroom. This gives you the bathroom, but you're messing with more roof area, so the cost goes up accordingly, at a rough guess 35k+. If you go all out and extend to the rear and go up to the second floor you can probably achieve wonderous things..................who knows, it's all hypothetical.
