Lighting Kitchens Design Dilemma

Hi, I can’t decide how many pendants tonhave over our new island. The island is quite small-1250mm in length. So would two small (170mm) pendants look lost or should I do three? Or would two 300mm pendants look too cramped?!

I really like these Cromia pendant lights from Plato design. I want to get three for my kitchen island. The problem I have is that I can find these type of photos but I can't find any with them in situ. Is anyone aware of these lights? We introduced the Shelley ceiling light to offer an alternative to downlighters where it's not easy to fit a pendant as it may drop too low - has been very popular. https://www.nigeltyas.co.uk/shelley-ceiling-light-with-frosted-bell.html but we also agree with Sonia - use cosy lamps and mix and match with complimenting pendants - we can tailor so cable colours match etc.

Do you have a dining table in the same open plan space - if so, I'd hang a pendant above the dining table and not have any above the peninsula. I saw something someone recently said (controversially) about lights above islands/peninsulas looking like warming lamps and now I can't un-see that. You might find that a recessed spot in the ceiling (assuming you have some of these planned already for the rest of the kitchen) lights up the peninsula just fine and you don't need any pendants dangling down and getting in your face. In a normal-sized kitchen/diner I'd only have pendants above island/peninsula or dining table, not both - and preference would almost always be above dining table.
