Mirror in living room?

Hello, where did the leaf-framed gold mirror in the first picture (living room) come from? The whole house is inspiring but that mirror is especially beautiful!

Hi there,

The mirror is actually ivory plaster but looks a little golden because of the lighting in the image. It was sourced from Anthroplogie. Best of luck with your project.

Front room for me! we have three rooms opened into one large living space, this is great when you have a large family. I still say front room, but mainly to describe the location of say my book or glasses if I'm am asking somebody to fetch them for me. It makes for a quicker find :)

What walls should I put mirrors on in the hallway and living room?

This is the wall I would like to hang the mirror on. I have an eero sarinen tulip table in front and then a circular pendant light yet to be fitted. So my thoughts are to stay away from round mirrors. Ideally, I wanted to cover the full wall but how can I work around the switches without removing them. Any ideas? Thanks

What colour/style of living room furniture would suit my living room?

Going for a white sofa would help create a light and airy living room. The white sofa would match the airy elements you already have in the room: the light pastel wallpaper and blue chimney heart, the white skirting, the light coloured wooden flooring. The black of the fireplace hearth can be tied together with details like black legs for the white sofa, black legs (maybe hair pin legs) for a white coffee table or for a cabinet (cabinets with legs look very smart: https://www.buzzfeed.com/alisoncaporimo/legs-for-days). Black cross legged lounge chair & ottoman in a navy blue would match the navy curtains. See through furniture helps for an uncluttered feel: transparent chairs, glass table, thin furniture legs, x leg ottomans. The window coverings also have to be in light materials. Consider introducing flowy sheer fabric with or instead of the navy curtains. White or light pastel coloured area rugs in the room and avoid choosing area rugs featuring heavy and busy patterns. Hi Sara - I love mirrors in a space to open it up and bounce the light around. I would agree with the other comments though and say perhaps avoid putting two directly opposite eachother. If you're thinking about putting something above you're fireplace perhaps you could look for a more structural peice of art. You mention that the walls are blank and I appreciate i dont know what colour your room is but maybe to add some character and texture having something like this could create a really beautiful focal point with the mirror on the other side.
