help with what colour bedroom furniture
Comments (15)I must have tried every grey shade as samples in the past few weeks as I want a very light grey. Farrow & Ball do a nice mid grey called Plummet. Dulux mix lab also do some nice ones & can be mixed in a flat matt. I am having a pale grey bedroom with a white bed & probably black side tables. I love silver with grey too but copper is also nice. You can also paint it again if you don't like the shade (that is what I am telling myself !)....See MoreWhat colour sofa/ furniture for this room?
Comments (5)Humm, I had a similar colour carpet in an old rented flat years ago. It was a hard one to modernise up really but it was just a bedroom and I ended up using raspberry pink and creams which really lifted it. Also a rug over the carpet in the sofa area could draw your eyes to that and the carpet can just act as a background colour. It depends on your tastes really ie as mentioned, a country floral style would work well with the room itself. But, if you have more contemporary taste or prefer brighter colours then you could even go for a vibrant palate on a more tropical floral theme. Introduce neutral charcoal sofa with tropical cushions in deep greens with the same raspberry pinks etc and use lots of leafy plants in the room and artwork....See MoreLight slate floor in an extension - what colour furniture goes best.
Comments (3)It's hard to say without seeing it, but all neutral colours including greys belong to a 'hue'. For example, wood is generally yellow/orange, orange, or red/orange. Your tiles look to be a bit violet (some slate is blue/green). If they have a violet tinge and you have wood then that makes up two of three colours from a secondary triad - orange, violet and the third is green. It may be worth looking at green as an option as it tends to look good with wood and grey/violets. Almost everything in my house is based on this triad like this:...See Morewhat colour furniture would go best with this countertop?
Comments (0)Hey guys, I’m new to this and I’m looking to start decorating my home. I have an open plan kitchen, living room and dining room. The original plan was to have white furniture -white dining table, white tv stand but I want your opinions if grey or black would look better considering the kitchen countertop is dark grey....See Morec s
