Rugs can be put anywhere you want,but is it ok to put it in your bathroom?

Hey! Yes, you can put a rug anywhere, but in this case, another kind of rug will suit, better. You can consider a single colour rug or up to 3-4 colours to match your bathroom style.

As long as the rug is washable then yes.

I was just researching the idea of a wool entry mat/bath mat and came across this article: https://alyshaan.com/why-wool-area-rugs-are-best-for-kitchens-and-bathrooms/ I would think wool would be ideal for a wet area, as it not only absorbs moisture but it allows it to evaporate, unlike cotton which simply holds onto it. That's why a lot of high-quality outdoor clothing and hiking socks are made of wool. Plus I'd rather use something made of a natural fiber than go the synthetic/polypropylene route and buy something that will just go to a landfill once it falls apart or starts looking nasty.

I believe that most of the expense in refurbishing a bathroom is in the labour. You can buy a very cheap toilet and sink, but it will cost you a lot to fit it in. To spend as little as possible, I would suggest painting the room a darker colour and see what you think. This will make a big difference. Perhaps a darker grey in the same tone as one of the colours in the tiles. The best thing about paint is that it is easy to change if you don't like it. You can replace the sink taps cheaply and if you can find a towel radiator that fits in the same plumbing spot that will save you plastering. You can replace the shower hose with a shiny new one and get a new clip to hold a new shower head on the wall. You can put a long, silver towel rail on the wall above the radiator and hang a nice, fluffy towel there! If you get a bigger, more modern (plain) mirror on the wall and move all of your personal items out of there the room will look less cluttered. Give it a mega good scrubbing as well and you will enjoy using your new room. Let me know when you want to refurbish the whole thing but for now that will make a low cost alternative. Update -- my plumber finally returned. Not sure what he did while here, but he told me again it wasn't working -- then he did some work on a radiator which had a small leak. We were having a long discussion about options on pumps, new showers, taps etc and I read out the installation guide and he tried it again, and suddenly it worked. It is bizarre as I don't know how many times i tried it previously. My friend who works in construction ALSO called earlier today and tried it several times to no avail. It must have been extremely stiff or perhaps the plumber realised some airlock whilst fixing the radiator since I think water pressure is much stronger since he went. Thanks for everyones help -- i learned lots on plumbing and a valuable lesson to take out the installation manuals myself and not trust that trades men know everything!!! I feel like celebrating!!

I’m not too sure on peignoir, I took two different images of it and photoshopped it, does it look a bit meh? Moles breath I guess it depends on the light. I don’t suppose your husband would consider colour for accessories?! i will try a few more colours though
