I want to change general look of my kitchen from dark brown to white or crystal white, but I don't know what option should I choose: 1. buy whole new furnitures what I like or 2. buy a clingfilm and cover old ones? I am wondering option number 2, because I am not sure if furnitures will be look also good in real, I only saw photos "before/after" for instance: Have any of You already done this before? If only You have some experience with clingfilm please tell me would you recommend it? Or is it better to invest more money in a new furnitures?

We chose to put our sink in our island as it was the best place for it. Our island is very long so it can accommodate the sink on one end with a clear space on the other end for seating - I am personally very against having a hob in the island as it will send splatters of hot oil etc. across the island and people (kids) sitting there. I also think the current trend for open shelves is odd - I always think they just end up looking cluttered (beyond the perfected curated pages of houzz), and everything will get dusty and oily if near the hob. One thing that we did in our kitchen was include a defined tiled area around the island - I love it and everyone comments on it. It may help add that little bit of extra in your design. (please ignore 1) our bar stools - we still need to get 2 more! and 2) the hole on the left where our broken wine fridge is waiting to be replaced!)

I have painted my kitchen cabinets and pondering what to do with the tiles. I could paint them but am a bit nervous about it as the grout lines are quite wide and I wonder how it will look. Also considering decent quality stickers with a glass spashback for the hob. Has anyone used tile stickers? How do they look? I can't afford to re-tile currently so looking for an interim solution. It's a small 2 bedroom "house", approx 700sqft. -Fridge: yes this is one of my concerns too, just unsure how to fit in a full size. -Microwave: I never knew there were corner versions! That could change things! -Glazed doors: very good point, I had thought it might make the kitchen feel bigger and less claustrophic, but actually as you say, could look dated and less tidy. And agreed, sounds good going for one clean style of cupboard doors styles. -Angled cupboard: was thinking of making the most of the storage, but actually gives very little extra, and as you say will look dated, so good point! -Free standing counter: I think that would be a push, but it's food for thought, and potentially a small mobile butchers block might fit.. my main concern is that the front door is right there, so would be a bit hectic/cramped with people coming in and out if there was something in the middle. @Jonathan I think it probably would fit, and I like the idea, but we'd lose the dishwasher, I definitely have a think about rejigging the layout a bit, thanks.
