Beautiful pavers! Were they grouted?

Curious to know if the pavers are 2cm or 3cm and whether or not they were grouted. Thanks in advance for your response!

Hi Lauren,

The porcelain paving was grouted with exterior coordinating grout with 4mm gaps between.

Beyond impressed, well done. It does look beautiful, congrats. If i were you with regards the runner, just take a tile off cut with the grey / beige colour on it that you want to match to. I think there's a kind of digestive biscuit colour in there also ( bit more practical for stairs.) I did that for my house and trust me I think i'm know as the 'picky colour queen' round here. you'll get it right. One will just grab you and you'll know it when you see it. Check out this one, I know it has a little fleck in it, but on stairs and landings being high traffic areas, you might be grateful, as totally plain will show up every bit of fluff! White or Grey Grout with Metro Tiles?

Our advice in a small space/ bathroom would be to go with white as it creates an homogenous surface. Use anti mould grouts to assist the cleaning and maintenance. A light grey grout if grey at all, will make a white tiles wall seem very busy and smaller Black grout is very stark and unforgiving so I would not suggest one ventures into the darker range of greys, even in larger spaces.

Lainey, boy did I search for cheaper pavers! We went everywhere. When I was looking 2 years ago most pavers were concrete, but the thing that put me off is the red colour fades away on concrete and all the pavers turn grey in the end. They are the sort of pavers people use on drives. However clay pavers are baked hard and the colour is all the way through. They are frost proof too. You can also get brick shaped pavers made of sandstone which are beautiful, but more expensive than concrete. Have a look on Global Stones website for ideas. Nmlondon and Lainey, cats may use pea shingle as a toilet, but I find larger gravel difficult to walk on. Sweeping any chippings isn’t easy, I agree. These are sandstone pavers. Colours are softer:

Hi Jonny Depending on what size the space is you would be looking at it could cost between £300 - £500 to create this 'wooden false wall' this is referred to as stud wall/boxing. Essentially this would be done by a carpenter who would use wood batons (studs) and plasterboard fill-in around the space for the TV. An open fire place needs an actual brick chimney and if you wanted a wood burning stove with any kind or surround this would need to be brick. You cannot build wood around a fire at all and you cannot build around a stove without a brick barrier between its flume and any surround as the heat will warp the wood and destroy your electrical appliances. To put a fire of any kind you need planning and a certified builder/carpenter and a certified installer for the type of fire place/stove you're putting in. Whatever you decided you will need a brick barrier which the stud will need to be fixed to. It makes sense to do this slightly bigger than the TV you currently have and stud up to the edge of your TV. That way if you change the TV later you can cut into the stud wall and make it bigger relatively easily. In reference to the recessed curtains you can also use a metal recessed track that can be easily hidden in the ceiling. You will find it very difficult to find an Amtico flooring with a grout line effect that comes in a light colour like the one you've got pictured.
