Hi, i just move this house, here is my living room my last House was bigger than this that's why i pick this sofa, please help give some advise for decorate my small living room.i want keep this sofa

Do you have space elsewhere in the house for the armchair? Maybe in a bedroom? It closes down the room too much where it is & makes the room look smaller. Adding some taller items such as a tall floor lamp, a large plant or a taller bookshelf would help as currently everything is on the same level, which again makes the room seem smaller. Similarly, some artwork on the walls would help.

Hey everyone! Good to hear from you all again. We have 2 wks before we go back to school. It's been a busy summer but good. My boy (14) is in marching band and they've been practicing all summer for the fall football games. He is worn out. My girl has been playing with friends and is doing a bit of a room redo herself (she is 10). Nice to see you all are well. We took a weekend a bit ago to Chincoteague VA and it was great! Hi Kate. It looks a nice room. You only have a couple of pics in your ideabook so there's not much to go on in terms of style and colour. Maybe go for something like the first pic however with a pale grey paint with a blue/lavender undertone on the walls (which your sofas appear to have) and also paint the radiators the same colour. You don't mention if you need privacy, if not, I'd go for Roman blinds hung outside the recess in the wall colour to make the room feel bigger/taller. Similar to the pic id add navy, white and deep mauve cushions and a throw mixing texture (include some velvet!) and pattern. If you add brass for lamps etc it will add warmth in addition to some green for a plant and flowers for the coffee table. This may be a no no (!) but a light grey cowhide rug may work (without markings) to avoid rug "rules". I also like the panelling in the first pic and you could use wallpaper panelling on one wall to the same effect if you're on a budget. The last 2 pics are just really showing how a cowhide rug and panelling could work in an elegant scheme with industrial touches. Depending on layout I might remove the shelves and add a huge mirror over the dining table although ideally it would be on the long wall to make the room feel wider. Dining tables do look good against the back of sofas which may potentially (!) work if your sofas were opposite each other on the short walls and perhaps the door opened the other way but then I'm not sure where the tv would go!

You could consider one small sofa and one chair, with TV in an alcove and table floating in the middle. Or sofa on front wall and a low line unit opposite for TV, with a chair in one alcove. Table could good at end of sofa in an alcove, with a chair beside the tv. If going for the wall tv placement, I would keep the length a short as possible but definately not shorter than the TV. Think about furniture with legs, to keep it off the floor and provide a more upllifting space. Low , floor hugging furniture will look too heavy and blocky.

Firstly Congratulations on your first home, well done! got to say I don’t really understand why there are two radiators in that room as big one will be enough I think…small room. put small folding extending dining table and chairs at bottom of stairs by window tucked away. Extra chairs can live in the cupboard and then extend table if you need too in the room. TV and computer desk could become a multi purpose unit…think bookcase with arm for extendable TV and computer in same place? Or knock out under the stairs as complete wasted space now and put your desk etc under there. TV on wall with a multi positional arm saves floor space. Can see TV from wherever you sit/eat then if you can afford it and don't really need a computer then get an ipad. Go on Pintrest for ideas and look at Ikea layouts , they have small spaces and make it work. Sofas are up to taste but keep a tape measure with you always… Lots of luck

The 2 sofas and the armchair are all covered with throws so difficult to make suggestions. Is one sofa blue and the other cream?
