Would you paint the window frames & if so what colour?
Comments (12)Agree with grey or greenish-grey (french grey) - a colour similar to the mortar would compliment it nicely. The cream in forzaitalia's second pic also looks very well....See MoreHow to employ vibrant hues in the kitchen without being garish!?
Comments (6)I think painting kitchen cabinets is a massive time commitment not to be taken lightly because changing it is not a quick job. Before you paint you should consider if you have the technical expertise to get a flawless finish and if not you should consider if professionally finishing it is going to break the budget. Then you should consider if your style is bright and funky and look critically at the rest of your house to see if this is really your style. Comments (11)My living room is so similar to your dining room, it faces North-East, with a big bay window. With the help of Houzzers I painted it F&B Cromarty (a grey-green). I painted my fireplace Dulux Brilliant White as well as the skirting and architrave. I actually like the cleanliness of this white. The wall above the picture rail is white as is the ceiling. Would you consider painting your fireplace white? Difficult to say whether Dark Ivy is warm or cool as It’s such a deep colour. I’ll leave that for others to say! I think it would look nice on that fireplace wall....See MoreWhat colour would you paint over wooden kitchen cupboards?

I also agree that the red tiled splashback and extractor could definitely do with updating/changing. I would go further and remove the two overhead cupboards on the splashback. They look unnecessary and make that area look cluttered. Obviously that would mean altering the cornice above them too. Overall your kitchen looks stunning....See MoreJuliet Docherty
