I have scoured the internet for several hours now. Can you please share the colors of the cabinets and information in regards to flooring? I absolutely love these two aspects of this design. Of everything thing that I have found, your choice of materials are my absolute favorite. Thanks in advance, from the United States.

Hi Patti,

Thank you for your message and I hope you are well. I am sorry I am unable to help answer your questions unfortunately. This was a property I photographed several years ago for the bi-folding and sliding door manufacturer, Express Bi-Folding Doors. I was the photographer for this particular project and did not really have any direct contact with the home owner, and Express were only responsible for manufacturing and fitting the sliding doors and windows.

I am sorry I am unable to help on this occasion and I hope you have success finding a similar colour and tiles that you like.

I helped my Dad build a fire pit in his garden, he made wooden seats to sit around the metal fire pit with old stone columns for extra seating (unfortunately you can't see the actual fire-pit as behind the stone bench). Lots of stories and fun are had around it until deep into the night. If you have the space it is a great addition to put in! Shannon

Remember that Rome wasn't built in a day.. Neither the house you want to make a home... If the house feels right. With your Head and your heart, location. Then if it's the house for you it will work.. Move in and adjust each day... Yes you can put your Mark on the house, yes it will be your HOME... But live with it for at least a short while.. Don't be hasty to paint.. See where the sunshine..shines...See where it makes dull on a dark day...So you Can add a mirror maybe to reflect the daylight.. Don't make the pennies stretch any further than they are.. Remember that sadly the bills have to come first..!!!.... Improvise pieces to fit and...if you have to save for the right item....Then save..!!! it will be more practical in the end , rather than buying for the sake of it and having to buy another a few months down the line... Don't fill every room with furniture.... My biggest mistake... Use a piece like a sideboard and think practically the uses.... Is it big enough.. One more draw or cupboard would have better than two smaller ones...don't be afraid to add old stuff that we all now reuse..paint it ...add your own art work... It's a long journey.. To find the destination of all your dreams... And when you feel you have achieved what you have done...then sit back and enjoy all your hard work. And live in your HOME... Enjoy. Relax.. And above all have fun...

I agree! As it is not always feasible to install real timber or stone, Karndean is the best vinyl option. I am going to have 36sqm of it installed in my own place. I have direct contacts with the manufacturers here in the UK. If anyone is interested, please inbox me and will get you in touch.

I buy one or two cookbooks every year for inspiration (last one was Jamie's Everyday Super Food), but only keep hold of a few old favourites or speciality books, so my cookbook shelf is quite modest. Over the past 5 years I've gone digital and all my favourite recipes, whether they came from cookbooks or magazine clippings originally, are hunted down online to copy into Evernote. Handily, several of the big-name cooks publish their popular recipes on their own websites. This way I've got a bespoke cookbook of my favourite recipes, annotated with my own tweaks, which can be used on a smartphone for ingredient shopping, or an an iPad while cooking. I do find it really satisfying flipping through a new cookbook and tagging the pages of recipes I want to try, so I'll keep buying the cookbooks as well as using online resources.
