External Crittall-style doors - how wide is too wide?

I’m having a kitchen extension built with ‘crittall style doors’ (aluminium as I don’t think I can afford the real thing!) I'm hoping to go with a set of French doors with side panels. The width of the door opening will be 3750mm. This means I can get either a ‘four-panel’ option, with each ‘pane;’ being approx 930mm wide (i.e. a set of doors plus two side panels) or a ‘six pane’ option with each pane being 625mm. I think the four pane; may be too wide and the 6 too narrow; so a bit stuck. Would love to know opinions! If you have these type of doors, what is the width of your panels?
Also, would love recommendations too (or suppliers to avoid!) - i'm based in London!
