We'd definitely agree with going for a wood threshold. You're quite right in thinking it avoids introducing a third material to the mix. We've also found that wood thresholds are becoming much more popular than a brass alternative. They provide a smoother and more subtle transition between rooms.

Hi there, I can't see a picture of what you are planning to use and I think your question is whether the same tile can be used on both the floor and the walls? We always use the same tile on both the floor and walls as we feel it flows better and gives a greater sense of space. Though, we always use a larger sized tile on the floor e.g. 600mm x 600mm and a 'smaller' tile on the wall e.g. 600mm x 400mm. Hopefully, the pictures below help though a little difficult to see the floor tiles.

Hi Lucy, For a toilet floor a darker grey grout would be best to hide any stains or spills. However from your photo the base colour of the tile looks quite beige, so a coloured grout like the BAL Micromax2 in Lime would be a good option, this will keep a heritage look whilst being more practical than an off-white.
