Comments (5)This looks great. Just a couple of points- the relaxing area seems to look out to the driveway- so either you will have a poor view or you will feel overlooked. Perhaps the relaxing room would be better looking into the internal courtyard where there will be no distractions. There is nowhere shown to do laundry. I don't understand why you would put two sitting areas in the same room - if they are for different purposes perhaps they should be in different parts of the house. The stairs may be dark without a window. You should also consider your window placement and what outside space there is, the privacy and the heat of the sun. In my opinion the solid wall in the gathering area hides where I assume the garden is so I think the plot may feel smaller. I worry that the impressive dining window may make that area too hot. I hope this helps and remember this is just opinion- you have your house how you want it....See MoreIdeas please for ground floor plan
Comments (10)Your home currently looks good and there's nothing majorly wrong with it. You may find that for now, you want to inject some of your own personality decorative g wise but leave any structural work. I'd definitely do as Carolina has suggested by living in it and seeing how you use the space. You may find that things may not work for you whilst others do. This will allow you to make effective and efficient changes. I like how there's a few steps to the lower level. I wish we had been brave enough in our renovation to create internal steps to have a more efficient outside which doesnt Descend drastically. All the best....See MoreAdvice on ground floor renovation
Comments (18)Hi. sounds like you have some fab times ahead :) I agree with Jonathan that the scale maybe slightly out so that is worth looking at. If you wanted a few fresh ideas.. and to scale, it may be worth considering a concept planner. Our layout packages (for example) are all shown in 3D with virtual tours. It is well worth it to be able to see how the space works and how it all fits together. I think for me, your layout depends on the style (or look) you are trying to achieve. I can see the open space in the middle working really well as a design feature in the right house design but definitely think the space can be better utilised to suit your needs. I would also suggest starting to add some images to your ideas books. This will give us a better idea of the style and will also help you to get to know your own style a little better. If you need any help with this please do drop me a message and I can send you some pointers. All the best, Gina...See MorePlanning a ground floor renovation
Comments (4)Have you remembered to consider shading? Standard wall/ceiling mounted roller blinds don't aren't compatible with swing n slide doors unless you were to recess them in a concealed blind box system.
