Comments (13)I'd have a quirky feature wall with the other walls a light blue! Then you could use different vintage pieces around the room. Alternatively, I would have a duck egg/light blue feature wall with a nice pattern and the other walls a light cream/white. Either way I would put your bed against the feature wall with some basic curtains....See MoreSmall Lounge with awkward features - layout help needed
Comments (12)Dear Caroline, Congratulations on your new flat! Not wanting to assume, are the steps leading downstairs to the kitchen start as you enter the room? Couple of things for you to consider: - Storage unit on the other side of the stair (is there a bannister/wall/railing?); please do send through pictures. It might be possible to fit in a bookcase as a divider (recommend a low one and to accessorise the top, for example, with a vase, lamp, picture frames and candles. - Your lounge area is not that small; however, rather than a couch and a chair, have you considered an L-shaped sofa, with a coffee table in front of it and a TV unit across on the opposite wall. - What is your budget and preferred design style? - What is the flooring? Consider getting a rug. We are happy to assist you further so please do not hesitate to contact us. Good luck!...See MorePlease help! Looking for ideas on feature wall
Comments (14)I think the problem is the top line of the lamps and TV are all practically the same height which makes it look harsh and boxy. I'd try something much taller one side of the TV ie an onion light or tall vase with some modern floral/stick arrangement that could drape outwards slightly across the top of the TV, thereby softening and filling the void above it, then something much lower the other side. The lamps you have could hopefully be used elsewhere as they are lovely. Just a thought......See MoreSmall Cloakroom help pls- what colour should we decorate it
Comments (25)The floor is straightforward and neutral. When the mint pain is gone you probably won’t even notice it. Patterned floor tiles are lovely but I bet they date really quickly, they seem like a trend to me. If all you did was paint the walls a dark blue the whole place would look better and it’s only paint! Easy to change if you don’t like it or it goes out of style....See More- 8 months ago
