Where would you put the stove?

East wall - top, middle or bottom?
Ignore the fact it says 'breakfast room' - it's really a playroom/ tv room.
Nice window seats (south) and built-in cupboards (west) and half wall on north side.
So all in all a bit tricky for furniture/orientation as one naturally faces the window or cupboards it seems - but we think we do have to have a wood burning stove to help heat the space. Thoughts welcome, thank you!

Comments (1)I would go for underneath the cupboards as it is a functional option too. If you have cupboards like these and standard track lighting or similar in your kitchen (as I do), you invariably end up casting a shadow on your food when you prepare it and these would counteract that. We thought about making the current window into a door as you’ve suggested, it’s a low ceiling but could just about get away with it as it’s a cottage. I think that’s our other option that you’ve suggested but was going to separate the utility room in two so that we’d could get a toilet in and a small part of the utility. However that means changing the window Into 2 smaller ones and a lot more work (we’re trying to keep the cost down as much as possible!)...See Morewhat would you put on this empty kitchen wall?
Comments (8)I love wooden shelving although it does involve quite a bit of dusting! Etsy have lots of carpenters selling shelves, some made of scaffold boards. A sideboard could be a good option if you need more storage. A large piece of art would also be good maybe against a darker painted wall? Sometimes less is more....See More
