Help! How would you furnish this living room.
Comments (6)If you're adding bar stools would it not be tempting to have the tv where they do so you can view from both rooms?! Rather than the fire, have the tv over a narrow console which is a bit more typical for a Hallway. You could paint the wall a shade of grey (keep others light) to disguise the tv and add accessories. A projector could potentially be an option on that wall (??). Or slightly more unusual options...I can't see what the breakfast bar is like but maybe something bespoke built against the dishwasher or even wrapping round the pillar! Or go with your option with a small sofa, you could then add a console behind to create a hallway to the bedroom but it leaves it quite tight for a coffee table and tv unit (plus back of tv exposed if you use the balconŷ). It would be good if you had exact measurements from wall to pillar etc...See MoreHow would you furnish this awkward living room/dining room/kitchen
Comments (7)Hi. Personally I'd put a slatted room divider (just the unit width) at the end of the sink run to allow light and zone the kitchen area slightly. (I will try and find a picture showing the same in a similar kitchen). Assuming the fridge isn't staying, I'd just buy a white one so it blends in, maybe like a retro style one as they look a bit prettier. I'd also opt for a round table. You could paint the wall (and rad) behind the table a darker/warmer colour and add art. Hang the light low over the table to zone it and maybe have a mirror or mirror tiles on the left wall. You could also consider acrylic chairs as they don't visually fill the space. I'd go for a wider curtain pole to maximise light coming in. Sofa, choose something on legs with narrow arms, being able to see the floor will make the room bigger and maximise seating. I also wouldn't choose anything dark as it could take over the room, just use dark/warm colours for cushions and throw if wanted. There are plug in wall lights around which won't take up any floor space. I don't know if you need storage but you should be able to fit a sideboard between the dining and living area? Re shopping suggestions, you don't have any ideabooks set up so could you give people an idea of styles and colours you like?...See MoreHow to furnish this living room to make it cozier?
Comments (5)I think your room just needs a couple of tweaks and am thinking your your current seating looks comfortable. Not sure a sectional will fit the bill for you, as they are quite low. Maybe a throw or two around on what you currently have will up the comfort without the expense of new furniture. The other tweaks I’d suggest is using the buffet as the tv stand as it’s a lovely piece but it’s taking a back seat in its current location. You could swap the table if you would like a display place or the table could leave the room altogether.. Whilst removing, take out the lower white table. The nest of tables could come off the wall and be between the two chair it’s the lamp over them, creating a little area there....See MoreHi I need ideas on how to furnish this entry room.
Comments (4)I would style it as a room rather than a corridor and add seating. Depending on your storage needs I have two ideas: 1 - Put a wardrobe against the right hand wall for coats and most used shoes etc, a small armchair in from of the mirror, small sofa on the left with an oversized round side table for a plant and keys dish/tray. Wide rug in the middle. 2 - Long sofa/bench on the right, console table/sideboard below the clock for plant, table lamps etc. Big rug in the middle....See More- 23 days ago
