I would use a similar colour to the finished floor or a grey for the walls. Stiffkey blue is gorgeous and looks lovely with Wevet or All White. Setting Plaster is another good neutral if the pink current trend appeals to you. How much wall colour will be on show? Is it a kitchen diner or a separate kitchen?

Most welcome Melissa, The thing to concentrate on is what they can offer.. Best thing to do is look at their website.. This will give you some indication as to how specialist they are.. Also speak to them about what you're looking for this is really important!.. Prices and options are key.. I love concrete but it's not for every client.. So these 3 suggestions are based on my selection as there are many more and I cannot personally give you any recommendations for those 3 sorry but... it might help you to get an idea of their differing approaches.... I would not let this put you off making some enquiries.. I usually tell by the level of experience and talking, plus looking at how varied a company is.. I am very very picky and have been in a position myself where I've gone with lots of reviews only to find out they were awful and actually didn't know how to do the job.. ! Kindest, Amber : ) )

A picture would really help! A large landscape mirror is a good bet in narrow hallways, as long as the frame is not obstructive. A dado rail will help break up the height (so giving the illusion of more width), and allows her to paint a bolder colour below the dado without making the space too dark (white or off white above the dado). Maybe even a picture rail too. She could use satin eggshell under the dado, it’s tougher and more easily cleaned than emulsion, and also has a sheen to reflect light. A large coir mat near the front door, spanning the full width of the hall, to help keep things clean and also reduce the visual length of the hall (to help it look wider)

I agree it would depend on the kitchen and other requirements, what 'feel' of the place needs to be achieved. Personally I quite like a little bit of texture in the colour, with subtle inclusions not entirely plain, 'Medium Grey' looks lovely I think.
