Ideas for bedroom refurbishment.
I am in the process of creating a master suite with getting a dressing room adjacent to bedroom and converting another small bedroom to a bathroom.
This would make 90s bedroom mirrored wardrobes redundant.The carpenter is going to take out wardrobes and make the wall”good”.I had thought of getting bespoke joinery on the wall with a desk on the left ,TV in the middle and a dressing table on the right.Now worried that the bedroom will look too cluttered if I did that as currently mirrors reflect light and make it look large.
Am I better leaving the wall bare ?

Comments (7)I also don’t think you can live there while it’s being done. I think you should look into raising the roof then connecting the main house roof to the roof of the kitchen wing. I also don’t think you need to remove what looks like a top end conservatory. But you do need to find a good architect to help discuss what is possible and you need to think about your budget as it’s a big undertaking. last monthWhat a lovely serene room, apart from the mirrored wardrobes of course. One question, do you really need a desk in the bedroom? Could it go elsewhere? I think a nice dressing table, mirror and a tv is enough. Then some nice artwork on any bare walls is enough. Although a nice ottoman at the end of the bed can look nice and a bedroom armchair in a corner. I see you have one but I was thinking something a little more plush and bedroomy.
PROlast monthHi, I would suggest considering a generoud dressing table that can work as a desk when needed or a cute desk that is pretty enough to be a dressing table. Get a nice big mirror and lights either side of the mirror if you want to use it for doing make-up for example.
The TV could be hidden in a purpose built unit, reducing the feeling of having a bare wall in front of you when youre in the bed.

Ok, well you could consider adding a ribbon fire, as per 1st pic, then hanging the samsung frame tv over the top as ribbon ones are low so work with tv viewing. This would make the alcoves smaller for a dressing table one side and perhaps the chair the other or a low built in with shelves. You could mirror the alcoves if wanted but presumably you will gain 60cm width anyhow?
I can’t find any exact pics but hopefully you get the idea. It might make a nice focal point? If you go for the frame tv make sure it has somewhere to hide the box thing that comes with it. I’m not sure you’re meant to as the cable is ”see through” but i’d hide that within the stud wall too…
