What colours should I use for my kitchen?
Comments (10)your lovely kitchen seems to recede into the walls as in my opinion there is not enough contrast and wevet may have the same issue.....so personally I would choose a stronger colour....don't forget you won't see much as most of the wall is covered with cabinets. Also with a window and French doors and a pale reflective floor it will be reasonably light. Choose a colour that you like that is used elsewhere in the house that you like and it will lend continuity. how about Farrow and Balls India Yellow?...See MoreWhat colours should I choose to go with my aubergine/cream kitchen?
Comments (8)I would go for high gloss mustard green wet wall where the tiles were. This colour looks great with aubergine and the sleek finish will instantly update the kitchen. Positional ceiling halogens and lighting under the wall cupboards to make the rich colours glow. I think three colours are fine, especially if you pull them together in a blind fabric or cushion. ???...See MoreShould I paint my Art Deco tiled fire place?
Comments (6)It does not require it but you would need to clean really well to get an even and clean covering. It usually needs more than one coat I find.. but you will need to see dependent on the colouring. It can be OK but only as a temporary fix and you need to take your time and do it properly as mistakes are really hard to change once you start painting - a run in it for example. It then also very noticeable. Personally if you hate it and it doesn't go with the new room your starting to create then I think go for it. It's a cost effective way to make you happy until you can change it later. I appreciate you can not see too well on the picture but these black tiles in this photo have been painted as the client was on a very tight budget and didn't want to rip the bright green ones off and start again! http://www.createperfect.co.uk/press?lightbox=dataItem-iqwcsy178 All the best, Gina...See MoreWhat colours should I have my kitchen?
Comments (10)Okay, so I did put together some different floor examples for you with tiles and with luxury vinyl, which will be warmer underfoot. Just to give you an idea of different colours that I think will look good. But of course I can only judge from online pics, so it's no guarantee that they will really go together. I would always get samples together in the space they are going in, if at all possible. Anyway... hope it helps. I turned your kitchen door/worktop pic upside down, since that will be the way you'll see it, worktop above kitchen door. It looks a bit odd, but there we are. I think a medium or light warm grey will look good....See More- 3 months ago
