Floor plan design 1920's bungalow - efficient remodel

last month

Hi Everyone,

We are just about to move into a 1920's bungalow in need of full refurbishment, longer term plan is to carry out a back loft dormer extension and extend begin the current living and reception room to create a larger kitchen and living room however before committing, i would like to live in the property to get a feel for the flow and how we use the space, i am not a fan of the kitchen bathroom setup currently.

I will have a couple of months overlap in current rental and this bungalow in which time i am hoping to create as much mess as possible with the long term plan as a base, my thought process is to remove the double fireplace and chimney joining the two bedrooms (black triangle) as this is center of what could be the loft conversion and possible staircase location, while doing this the thought is there to remove the wall between the bedrooms to create a master and en-suit.

Has anyone got any advice on layout alterations that would work with the longer term dormer and extension plan without reworking the space twice?

The living room and reception extension are not full height, kitchen and lean to are flat roof extensions.

Below is the current floor plan and plot, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
