Comments (71)Hi Pannacotta, I think the etsy one may be unique rug store, they overdye vintage rugs. I really like the rug from westelm, will it be too modern though if you didn't like the JL striped one? What do you think of their Cadiz one? I can't decide if I like it! Try both of these links from ebay, you may like a couple, they're over budget if you go for the new size but under if you go for 2x3 http://stores.ebay.co.uk/rugmartoutlet/_i.html?_nkw=Faded+vintage+retro&rt=nc&_pgn=1&_ipg=48 http://stores.ebay.co.uk/rugmartoutlet/Modern-Patchwork-Rugs-/_i.html?_fsub=7903057012...See MoreRUG ADVICE
Comments (14)lindac3, that is what I said about the chairs, although clear would work too! Now you have said what your room actually looks like (nothing like the picture it sounds lol!) I can see where you are coming from with the rug idea! As I see it now, perhaps a "flat" rug (ie not tufted)? As someone above said, they do what they call "indoor/outdoor" rugs which are not too expensive, but mainly are white and another colour. I have seen them in TK Maxx and HomeSense in the past, they were around £30/£50 if I remember rightly? If you google them as "indoor/outdoor" rugs, something must come up I'm sure! Happy rug hunting!x...See Moreneed advice on a rug design for lounge
Comments (7)Agree with Carolina, however, i'd go for something that will cover as much of it as possible. You can't go wrong with plain, it can't clash with anything. Whatever portion of the flooring is visible will clash with anything that has a pattern. So plain grey, pale beige, dark cream, or even a dark brown to tie in with the wood colour. You don't necessarily need to search for a rug the right size, most carpet shops especially the independants, and many on line can make rugs from any carpet....See MoreAdvice on sitting room paint colour and curtains please
Comments (5)First thing that makes the paper too busy is the stuffed room. So declutter. If nowhere else to put it, find a spacious cupboard/drawers. Paint it Yeabridge Green for example. Don't design around a sofa set you don't like. Find some pillows, rug and blankets that go well with the paper and floor. Make yourself a moodboard with curtains and such and then decide. Here are some F&B paint colors that could work well (I've tried them all, would not advise any other). Personally I like the first three on the left. But haven't seen your room (and taste), so no further suggestions.....See More- last month
