Complete redesign of floorplan
We are considering offering on this project property.
We are looking to create 4 bedrooms, family bathroom, ensuite upstairs. A snug, a kitchen/ diner, living space. A separate utility and/or downstairs shower room. Plus lots of hidden storage.
Can this be achieved within this footprint ? We would have a healthy budget for the works and the price, Garden and location are huge draws on this property. Or would we be better looking for something else?
The garden is incredibly long and there is approximately 3m to next doors boundary. We would need to maintain at least 1.5m access down the side of house to aid with maintaining it.
We would definitely knock the garden room down and build out as far as possible 4-6m. We thought we would then build out the smallest bedroom on top of that to make that larger. And also go up into the loft for a master suite. But we now know there is not 2.2m headroom.
So are now considering if side extension would work as an alternative. Next door already have planning permission granted for 2 story extension up to their boundary.
I would ideally get a professional opinion before moving forward but would love some initial ideas if it could work?
