We are planning a ground floor extension of 2.4 m on the rear of our house, which should just tuck up under the existing 1st floor windows. However we find the windows which the architect has designed, rather uninspiring. We would like a bay or similar on the side by the door, which would provide an eating/chilling space in the kitchen. On the other side we would like bi fold doors. In the centre section, which stands slightly proud of the main section, maybe an atrium window? on the first floor, with maybe french doors below? It needs to be in keeping with the original house, which is a traditional country style.
The question is, can we just design these windows ourselves/suggest to the architect what we would like, or do we have to fork out for another design just for windows?
