Ideas for reconfiguring bungalow floorplan
Comments (27)Jonathan, moving the bathroom as you have was actually Plan A but I got cold feet about the cost of moving the bathroom although I loved the idea of a line of sight from front door to back garden. We only roughly sketched it and having seen your beautiful floorplan I am thinking we’ll regret it if we compromise instead. The bungalow looks so much more balanced than it does at present and has a flow to it, which it currently completely lacks. Thank you so much for taking the time to draw it up so nicely :) love the addition of a cupboard in hallway to bedrooms and one in entrance hall as Rinq latterly suggested (completely agree on need for this Rinq) and access to toilet from garden - have 3 year old and 10 week old so very necessary, as is catching the mud before it comes indoors! Can I just ask, on the right hand side of kitchen is that recessed cupboards? Ps. You got the layout of our sofas bang on ;D...See MoreHelp with Reconfiguring a Bungalow Floor Plan

Comments (7)Hello! Thank you for taking the time to comment :) Sorry, I completely forgot to mention that the washer and drier are going in the utility which is to the right hand side of the kitchen (created from a bit of the old kitchen as utilities are currently in hideous conservatory that's going and has added benefit of meaning the shower room comes off the utility not kitchen as it does at the moment). I completely agree with you on the curved end units. Hubby was keen so I put them on but already decided no just didn't remove. I did wonder that about the corner unit. I was going for symmetry but function is way more important to me so I'll go bigger and then I can put a le mans in as I loved the one I had in our old house. I already have the problem you mention in current kitchen so appreciate you picking up on that....See MoreReconfigure bungalow help needed
Comments (5)Hi Sarah. I have done 2 possible options for you. One with 3 bedrooms with a smallish bathroom and a bit of a smaller entry and another with 2 bedrooms, a larger bathroom with separate shower and the all important utility room for washer, storing and drying clothes and even a separate freezer. I have put a large bed in the master. This is not about interior design but about size of possible furniture placement. If you want to see something else, let me know....See More- 21 days ago
