Hello decor178, Depends what the rad looks like. I would usually suggest paint the colour of the walls.. If something fantastic and old style like the two I love which are fantastic anywhere.. They have a modern industrial finish which deserves to be shown off.. then I would suggest grey or charcoal but a matt finish rather than gloss. They do though come in a range of finishes.. from chrome to nickel to a copper/brassy finish.. Again it depends on the walls... better to see what you are talking about and the room itself with the furnishings to really get an idea.... .. . :))Or if a box standard plain and boring.. painted as wall will be or add a cover as Brandi suggested- quite plain and then paint as walls are painted.. ..

Hi Jessica. Congratulations! I agree with Jean adding a picture rail will lower the ceiling height. I would also treat this as one room re paint but you could add a feature wall of paint or paper, perhaps the chimney breast? if the room is light ( I've got a couple of really bright rooms which come out dark when I take pics!) then I think the green will be fine. The green goes nicely with the wood and other colours. Splashes of gold will also work well. As Jean said you can zone the areas with rugs (perhaps complementary rather than matching), art, flowers for the table? and maybe a floor lamp. As it's a long and relatively narrow room I would add a large mirror on the long wall to make it feel wider. Good luck!

I would avoid painting the whole room this colour, it is very dark. The conservatory takes some light away anyway, so it's not the lightest room. Inchyra Blue is a blue/green, desaturated and dark colour. You could try a blue/green, desaturated slightly light version, it may work better. Here it is on one wall: And here is Oval Room Blue in a different room that looks dimly lit: They look similar due to the amount of light the room naturally receives.
