Comments (30)Yes safety first, but just to be clear, I wasn't recommending a piece able to be climbed on against the handrail. Not only for the safety aspect but because I wouldn't like to look at the side of it through the spindles coming up the stairs. Comments (12)Shauni's suggesged plan is good and allows a view out if you glaze or part glaze each door. I would consider adding a surface mounted sliding door to the loo to make it easier to navigate the space and let more light in. Could the washer and dryer not go upstairs in the cupboards next to your bathroom? Or has this bit changed? Comments (1)Now I am thinking again about having the washing machine in the upstairs bathroom!! There is plenty of space for it, but the bathroom is off of my daughter's bedroom...so noise and access might be an issue. At the moment she is only 3, so access less of a problem buy I expect I wouldn't be able to put loads on in the eve. Perhaps an easy issue to overcome. In her teenage years access will be a problem perhaps, but then again we could switch bedrooms with her at that point! Decisions, decisions.
