Very grateful for any ideas of where to put a downstairs WC in our house! The waste pipe is at the back of the house (below the upstairs toilet, as you'd expect).
The current idea is to convert the narrower part of the kitchen (right hand side) into a toilet and utility by building a wall to separate it from the kitchen and having a doorway into the hall. However, we are also reluctant to shrink the kitchen and lose the natural light from the window. (We've also got space to move the washing machine upstairs into the bathroom when we do the work, which reduces the need for the utility).
The head height under the stairs is too low for a WC, notwithstanding the additional cost of the groundwork/linking to existing waste pipe).
Any and all ideas very gratefully received. Thank you.
