Hello, I’m looking for some advice on planning permission. Our architect recently told us that we’d need a householder application if we want the bifold doors in our proposed extension to be black rather than white. She’s saying that because all neighbouring houses have white doors and windows, this will clash with black bifolds and it won’t be within permitted development but we’ll have to submit a householder application, which is more expensive and involves consultations with neighbours.
Is this really the case? It seems a bit exaggerated
Thanks!
