Hi all. Looking for some advice please on layout ideas here. Two options shown below.
Option 1. Hob on end of island to one side to leave some prep space. Also plenty of prep space on behind run where air fryer will sit (I know its fashionable to hide it but we are functional!). Good triangle with hob/sink/fridge all in one stride of each other. Island seating 2 facing 2 with 2 kept spare for end of island for larger gatherings.
Option 2. Hob on wider part of island so cooking facing garden. Still to one side. This breaks the triangle slightly and moves hob away from sink but gives more conventional bar stool setup in an L shape. Negative is guests wont face garden.
The wildcard option is hob on run behind but we really want to cook and interact with kids/guests.
Notes:
Sink is under window and cannot move
TV planned for above dining table
Space is 24ft x 17ft (shortening to 14ft where Sofa and dining table are).
Island is 225x150 (7.5ftx5ft).
Swivel chair may not stay as could become tight.
Ignore the unit colours - just used what I had on the software at the time
Thanks everyone. Any other tips or ideas please shout.
