How to decide on a piece of Art for wall
Comments (97)I'd take this as a great opportunity to have some fun and explore making your own piece of art. From the space (that I can see), a canvas would suit being placed above, either leaned against the surface or elevated. I'd lead towards to being elevated. I'd say get a cheap canvas with some oil based paint and just try different shapes and different ways to add the paint to the canvas, don't try to make actual shapes but try blending colours (a spray drinking bottle makes an excellent tool for adding blending) in an abstract style. In term of colours, I really feel burnt orange and a mix between duck egg blue and royal blues would make a very eye-catching scheme for that area. If you do try a bit of art, make sure to send us an image! I guarantee you'll have fun doing this, and you'll be surprised how well it could turn out. Good luck!...See MoreShould I hang artwork on this wall?
Comments (14)If you want your mirror to stand out or to create more of a feature why don't you paint the middle third of the wall a deep navy, darkish but warm grey or even a darker shade colour of your chest of drawers? Will make your fireplace & stove & mirror stand out. This will give it a bit more structure and depth.. but am liking it. Any finished pictures?...See MoreWall art ideas..
Comments (4)Unless you’re just after a print I’d suggest you get down to your local galleries and have a good nosey. Speak to the dealers and even check out the art college nearest you. Buying an original work is very rewarding; the provenance of a ‘local’ piece can be a real talking point. Supporting up & coming artists is more important than ever and usually proves good value. Good luck! C....See MoreHelp with wall art sizing
Comments (5)The fronts of the sofas look like the same length on screen ( maybe one is longer as it goes in to the corner ). They both have three cushions, so I would use the cushions as guides. Don't go wider than the three cushions and I like things central, so go with the same gap all around and no bigger than this sort of thing....See More- 6 months agolast modified: 6 months ago
